Mostly Homemade Rainbow Magic Birthday Party

I can not believe it. I mean, I.Can.Not.Believe that my baby is going to be turning 8 this coming May. Where has the time flown? How can she be getting so big?

So, my baby girl is wanting a Rainbow Magic faerie party and I have been trying to make as much of it that I can. Other times I am taking advantage of DollarTree and their colorful and affordable party stuffs.

I took all of her Rainbow Magic books and copied the fronts to make up hanging faeries and to put on the front of some on the go coloring kits in empty dvd cases. Each kit has a bookmark, crayons, and coloring pages. I did buy colorful twirlies.

We have little pretty bags with small jars of faerie dust that will be put on ribbon to create necklaces. And I have been cutting up egg cartons to make a flower garland. I just need to finish cutting them out, spray paint and then hang.

Another project is taking pony beads in a heart cookie cutter and melting them to make the tops of faerie wands. I will later glue these to wooden dowels and add some pretty ribbons.

And then we have a steal of a deal on this pretty cupcake stand at Goodwill and found some nice little flower cupcake liners to make dessert even more pretty.

At Dollar Tree we recently discovered all the wonderful glow sticks. We picked out a lantern and it was so very nice in their room at night so I thought I would pick up a few more to hang from baby girl's ceiling for the sleepover part of her party.

Another fun thing I plan on searching out is at Fred Meyers in the toy section, they are sparkly gel pens that are made to be used for making tattoos. I just thought the girls would have fun drawing flowers and swirlies on eachother.

To top off all of this fun, in the morning, I am making waffles!
This should be lots of girly fun.
Wish me good luck in our little apartment and our very first sleepover!
